The Code is a book of law formed by the gods after the Great Change. Vampires and were-wolves alike are to follow the Code in order to attain some balance.
If the Code is broken in any way, a series of consequences shall be upheld by the leaders of the sects.
The Code:
Creatures are not to show their true forms to the inferior beings.
Creatures must live in clans (Vampires) and packs (Were-Wolves).
These families are to live in peace and follow the order of their leaders.
The leaders, in turn, must follow the laws of the Code.
Creatures may not love the inferior beings.
Creatures may not love those of the other race.
Vampires are not to harm world leaders.
Were-Wolves are not to mingle in the business of the inferior beings.
Creatures may not challenge the gods.
Creatures may not challenge the Code for it is the code of law, and thus the words of the gods.
Creatures may not speak of the Code to the inferior beings.
Creatures may not refuse to have weaknesses if they are to obtain balance.
Neither races may refuse their destinies.
